Objectives Students will be able to identify and explain Robert Wyland’s contribution to ocean conservation. Students will identify at least 3 different marine mammals and locate their geographic habitats. Given a mural topic and main focus, students will contribute to a class mural inspired by Wyland’s work.

Overall Outcomes Student performance increased by 50% (based on mean data) All students were able to explain contribution to the class mural One change: add a drawing component on assessments Students demonstrated strong understanding of how art impacts conservation efforts across the globe. I learned students gain more from lessons when they connect information to personal experiences.
