Climate : Vietnam has two distinct seasons: summer and cold seasons. Summer starts from May to October and its average temperature is between 25’C and 33’C. In southern Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City, this is the time when the country sees most rainfall, especially from September to early November. • The winter or cold season arrives in November and ends in April.

Vietnamese Food Pho (pronounced “ fah ”, not “foe!”) is perhaps Vietnam’s most famous dish and is eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rice is an important part of the Vietnamese meal.

Vietnamese school In Vietnam, the students in elementary and junior high school have to wear uniforms for both boys and girls: navy blue pants, white t-shirt, and red scarf (the girls also can wear a navy skirt ). When the students go to high school, they change the uniform: the boys have the same uniform as in junior high without the red shawl, and the girls wear “Ao Dai”.

Vietnamese New Year In 2008, Tet was on February 7th. It is the year of the Mouse. The national holiday lasts for three days. However, in practice it can be longer, as many celebrations occur before this date in the south of Viet Nam and after this date in the north of Viet Nam. Vietnamese New Year is a most important Vietnamese Holiday. Tet is the celebration of the beginning of spring as well as a new year. It is the time for family reunions, exchanging gifs, best wishes and the beginning of a new year. The first visitor to the house on the first morning of Tet is very important. Particular care is taken to arrange in advance to have the visitor to be rich, happy and prestigious.
