Relocation and Moving Plans: Before the Move Create a team Share with everyone else involved in the moving process Make a public announcement of the move The media specialist will need to prepare the collection for the move by weeding. The media specialist will also need to take inventory of all the equipment and decide which is no longer used or useable by your patrons such filmstrips or overhead projectors. Order any new equipment and furniture for the new location so that it will be ready for the arrival of your collection.
