2. Introduction

4. Hebrews 3:7-11
7 So, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you hear his voice, 8     do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion,      during the time of testing in the wilderness, 9 where your ancestors tested and tried me,      though for forty years they saw what I did. 10 That is why I was angry with that generation;      I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray,      and they have not known my ways.’ 11 So I declared on oath in my anger,      ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”

6. 1. Hardened Hearts
Hebrews 3:7-10

Hebrews 3:15

Hebrews 4:7
7 God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” (Psalm 95:8)

10. Matthew 13:19
19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

remember?

20. Ephesians 4:18
18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

Ezekiel 36:26
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
