Jenolan Caves Where: Jenolan Caves are located just outside of the Blue Mountains in NSW. Landform: The caves at Jenolan are limestone caves. They were formed as water seeped through the limestone causing holes to form. These holes get bigger till they become caves. Use: Jenolan Caves are used as a tourist attraction. Thousand of people have traveled through the caves admiring the stalagmites and stalactites that form within the caves. Significance: Jenolan Caves are significant because they are very unique and special. There are lots of interesting stalagmites and stalactites which are quite rare.

North Head Quarantine Station Where: North Head Quarantine Station is located at Manly in NSW. When: The Quarantine station was used to quarantine migrants arriving in Australia from 1828 to 1984. Use: The Quarantine station is now used as a tourist site where people can learn about Australia’s history. Significance: The Quarantine Station stands has rare plant species that grow in the area, and there are endangered populations of little penguins and long-nosed bandicoots. It is also a historical site.
