2 Importance of Equipment and Software There are many different types of equipment and software that we should add in the classroom to enhance the students ability to learn. The software will allow me to introduce the students to useful material that they normally wouldn’t have access to. The equipment will allow the students to have hands- on experience with equipment they could really learn from and might have never seen.

3 Software Fitnessgram - This is a program that most students do across the country to see where they stand in terms of fitness with both their classmates and students across the country. - The fitnessgram provides an efficient way for schools and other organizations to perform effective fitness and physical activity assessments on children, provide appropriate feedback to children and parents, and maintain accurate and comprehensive records over time.

4 Software Fitnessgram - This program is a great tool that allows students to both see how good they are at something and also what they may need improvement in. - The fitnessgram gives students great feedback to make improvements on their fitness and also educates them on how to eat healthier. - Pricing varies on the fitnessgram based on location.

5 Equipment Digital Blood Pressure Monitor - This machine provides visual representation of the student’s pulse and blood pressure. - With this the students cant learn how exercise changes someone’s pulse and blood pressure and see where their blood pressure and pulses are compared to others. - NatureSpirit Advanced Digital Blood Pressure + Heart Rate Monitor is priced at 35 dollars online.

6 Equipment Body Composition Analysis - Informs student of his/her percent of body fat - Tanita TBF-410-GS Body Composition Analyzer Scale HMS is priced at 2,095 dollars online. Automatic Skinfold Calipers - Uses a built-in computer to calculate and display the percent of body fat - Both of these pieces of equipment show and teach students how to find out what their percent body fat. These would be perfect for some hands-on activities in the classroom. - LAFAYETTE INSTRUMENTS Skinfold Caliper II- Each- 5 inch x 6 inch x 0.6 inch is priced at 90 dollars online.

7 Equipment Wrist Heart Monitor - This piece of equipment records pulse rate during exercise. - With this students will be able to physically see add monitor how their pulse changes and fluctuates when exercising. - Ekho WMP-68 Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Pulse Monitor costs 44 dollars online

8 Equipment Timing Device (Stop Watch) - This device would allow me to always know what time it is so I know how much time to take doing activities. - I can also time students while they do things like the mile run so they could see what times they get and try to beat their times in the future. - Accusplit S3MAGXLBK Stopwatch - One Color is priced at 7 dollars online.

9 Equipment DVD Player and DVDs - Allow students to see examples of real life situations they could encounter - Learn steps to sports skills - Critique others doing sports skills - Toshiba DVR620 - DVDr/ VCR combo DVD player is priced at 119 dollars online and 200 dollars nearby.

10 Conclusion These pieces of equipment and software would allow the children in this school to get a better understanding of everything they are learning in physical education. There would be more interaction in the class and they would be able to see and use the equipment themselves, getting a better experience in the classroom.
