CERN IT Department CH-1211 Genève 23 Switzerland www.cern.ch/i t Outgoing telephone calls— II CET/HRT call details reports will only show mobile communications when roaming –individual call detail reports will be available on request (via the Service Desk/Service Portal) IT/CS will monitor the costs per line monthly and will, in case of unreasonable usage –send an automatic alert to the supervisor and the DPO of the phone user, and –charge the budget code for that month’s communication costs. What doesn’t change –A phone with external access rights must be attached to a user and a budget code –CERN ID + Valid budget code remain mandatory to get an external line via switchboard

CERN IT Department CH-1211 Genève 23 Switzerland www.cern.ch/i t Mobile services A new GSM contract will start on the 1 st July 2015 with the following benefits –Significantly reduced roaming costs for calls, data and SMS (only from 1 st July!) –LTE (4G) services in addition to GSM and UMTS (3G) –Improved coverage to address the problems on the west of the Meyrin site. –Supply of mobile phones is included costs should better reflect market evolution Unfortunately, the new services require a change of SIM cards. We plan to make this change in June and hope we can count on your help. –Difficult cases will be handled by the Telecom Lab.
