Degrees and Majors Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) –Students who wish to earn a BSW degree must apply to and be accepted by the Social Work Program. –Requires no minor –Admission to Field Instruction 2.0 g.p.a. in the Liberal Arts foundation 2.0 g.p.a. in the Liberal Arts foundation 2.5 g.p.a. for all Social Work courses by the end of the 2 nd semester of the foundation professional year of study 2.5 g.p.a. for all Social Work courses by the end of the 2 nd semester of the foundation professional year of study “C” or better in: SOWK 2310, 2331, 2320, 3320, 3330, 3341, 3355, and CS 1310 or CIS 2320 “C” or better in: SOWK 2310, 2331, 2320, 3320, 3330, 3341, 3355, and CS 1310 or CIS 2320 –Upon completion of the program the student is eligible to test for licensure from the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners as a Licensed Social Worker.
