Things you need to know about Two-Page Letters At least two lines of the body of the letter must be carried to the 2 nd page. Avoid carrying over just the complimentary close and signature block. AVOID 2 nd page requires: Heading, either a single or multiple line heading Top margin is 1’’ 2 nd page should not be in letterhead, but of the same quality paper. Things to know about Memos Memorandums are correspondences written to people within the same business or organization. Top margin is usually 1’’-2’’ depending on length of memo. Side margins are 1”. Single spaced within paragraphs. Double spaced between paragraphs. Formal memos use a special heading, usually preprinted on stationary.
