Copyright © 2008 Delmar Learning. All rights reserved. Low Bed Safety Maintain a neutral posture and bend from the legs, not the waist –Avoid twisting Squat, sit, or kneel on the plastic mat next to the bed –If doing so is easier for you and helps keep your spine straight

Low Bed Safety Remove linen several pieces at a time –Avoid trying to remove it all at once Make one side of the bed at a time for efficiency and energy savings Use a fitted bottom sheet –This reduces the number of movements needed to make the bed
