History of sea turtles Sea turtles have been around for more then 110 million years. Many sea turtles can not retract there head and legs into there shell. Sea turtles colors vary from green to yellow to black.

Di et Sea turtles eat mainly, jellyfish, seaweed, crabs, shrimp, sponges, snails and algae. It depends on the species of sea turtle on there main diet. Many species eat different things when they live in different areas of the ocean.

Birth of sea turtles The mom nests on the beach and then returns to the sea. The gender control is based on the tempeture of the sand. Then the sea turtles make there way back to the ocean.

Rang e Sea turtles are found in all warm water all over the world. They migrate hundred miles between feeding and nesting. Some turtles travel as far as 1400 miles for migration.

Birth facts In each nest there are about 80-100 eggs The warmer sand the egg is more likely to be a female The mating season is usually from March-October It takes about 6-10 weeks for the eggs to hatch
