Where to go. If there is a wild fire close by you should evacuate before it gets to your home. Remember to have a smoke detector. =)

How do they start? Most fires start by people throwing lit cigarettes on the ground, or not putting camp fires out which happens 9/10 of the time, or the land or trees may get struck by lightning causing a fire.

How Far Do They Spread? They may spread for miles, and may last for months until enough rain fall.

One of the Largest Fires One of the largest fires was in August 12, 2003 in Washington. It burned for 45 days,and charred 81,00 acre’s. WOW!!!!!
