4. Morehead City Harbor Dredge Material Management Plan
Will look at disposal needs and alternatives for MHC Harbor over the next 20 years
Will factor environmental considerations into decision process
Disposal plan will be chosen based on federal standard of least cost alternative, consistent with sound engineering practices, and environmentally sustainable
Will look at placing material on Brandt Island, offshore, nearshore, and on the beaches
Final report expected in late 2009

Will look at disposal needs and alternatives for Manteo (Shallowbag) Bay over the next 20 years for the entire Project (Interior Channels, Spit Channel, and Ocean Bar Channel).
Will factor environmental considerations into decision process
Disposal plan will be chosen based on federal standard of least cost alternative, consistent with sound engineering practices, and environmentally sustainable
Will look at current disposal options and future needs, while coordinating this process with both resource agencies and local stakeholders.
Final report expected in late 2009
