Playground Description Design Team- Ground for Play: Commercial Playground Equipment and Design Location- San Diego, California Overview- Under the sea theme Parking- 3 parking lots Each with front row handicap parking Sidewalk entry pathways from each lot
3
Accessibility & Justification Who can access the playground? Elementary school aged children (ages 4-12) Also accessible for parents as well as children/adults with disabilities We chose to build our playground for elementary school aged children because that is the age group that mainly uses playgrounds. Our playground will include features that will allow adults to enjoy the playground with their children if they wanted to, and it will also include features that will be accommodating to people who are mentally or physically handicapped. We chose to build our playground in San Diego, California because we wanted a location that was warm so the playground could be utilized all year round.
