Should the university institute college- level rank and tenure committees? Each college would have its own committee Each department would elect a representative and alternate Promotion and tenure applications would go to this committee after the DPC and department chair but before the college dean The college-level committee would NOT start from scratch in evaluating the dossier The college-level committee would make sure that the department’s stated processes and requirements were met.
