The injured lion In the jungle, the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight. Suddenly a small mouse walks quietly past. The lion opens one eye and spots the mouse scurrying past him. “You have woken me up” roared the angry lion, “now I will eat you up!”

“I’m sorry please don’t hurt me, I didn’t do anything wrong.” Whimpered the mouse. The lion roared and jumped up and chased after the small mouse. The mouse hid and cried until the nasty lion had gone away.

The hunter Later that day the lion was still searching for the mouse. He was prowling through the jungle when BANG!! The lion feel down and roared in pain. “Help me, help me. Who will help me I am hurt!”

The Giraffe Will he help the lion? “ Sorry Lion I cant help you, my neck hurts too much today. I won’t be able to bend down to look at your leg. I must go now and find some food. Goodbye!”

The Monkey Will he help the lion? “ Sorry lion I am too busy swinging in the trees with my friends. And if I did help you I will get eaten by you. I am having too much fun, goodbye!”

The Elephant Will she help the lion? “ I am far too clumsy to help you with your poorly leg lion. And I have to protect my baby from predators like you. I am sorry lion, goodbye!”

The Parrot Will she help the lion? “ Last time I came to talk with you lion you tried to eat me and all of my friends. I cannot trust you, you might try to eat me again. I will not help you, goodbye!”

The Snake Will he help the lion? “ S,s,s,s,sorry lion, but I will bite your leg and not help you. I am s,s,s,so sorry, but it would be better for me to leave you like this. Goodbye!”

The Mouse Will he help the lion? “ I shouldn’t help you as you tried to eat me when I woke you up by accident yesterday. But, I am a kind mouse and two wrongs don’t make a right so I will help you lion. What can I do to help?”

The End So the mouse helped the lion and they became the best of friends and lived together happily in the jungle. The moral of the story is that two wrongs do not make a right. And that mouse showed that it is good to show forgiveness and help people despite what they have done.
