What is the Purpose of the Silk Road? I think the purpose of the Silk Road is that it helped share silk and gave the world community a new fabric. That helped a lot. It gave what everybody has now! Without silk, certain items would not be here today, like scarves, night gowns, and fancy dresses. In Ancient China silk was worn by the very wealthy, and was thought to be an fabric that only rich people wore.

Did the Romans Get the Silk? The romans traveled over 1,000 miles. With not much food or water because, they had to go through the desert. It took a long time just to find the traders. When they found them they traded gold and jewels just for silk and got home luckily not gone forever like the others that failed their Silk Road trip.
