C ONTENT A REAS & S TANDARDS Sign language for hearing children Grade Level: Pre-K3 Content area: Language Arts & Math & Social Studies Academic content standards: 1) Teaching children sign language while they study oral language, help them build vocabulary. 2) Introduce sign language to hearing children, help them better understand and communication with deaf children. 3) Though ask WH questions, give children opportunity to practice critical thinking. 4) After class children could practice together to build relationship with each other. Student will take some photos in the class, teacher will help student put it in the power point. Introduce it in other classes. Help more children are willing to study sign language.
