2 Standards National Health Education Standard 2:
Students will analyze the influence of family, peers, culture, media, technology, and other factors on health behaviors. Identify how some health choices influence unhealthy behaviors.

3 INTASC Standard Standard #8 Instructional Strategies
The teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies to encourage learners to develop deep understanding of content areas and their connections, and to build skills to apply knowledge in meaningful ways. Description: For this assignment, we have developed a Health lesson plan that focuses on promoting an alcohol free lifestyle. Within this lesson plan we have included and detailed the standards, student objectives, activities and how the students will be assessed. Rationale: To demonstrate my understanding of Learning Differences, I have included my Health Lesson Plan because it highlights my ability to adapt instruction to the needs of individuals by providing accommodations, as well as including a role play and skit for the students to create for groups of learners.  During the role play, students are engaged in assessing their progress of the objectives.  During the lesson plan, the teacher is also playing the roles of an instructor, facilitator, and audience member.  This lesson plan shows my ability to engage learners in meaningful tasks and problem solving if they are offered alcohol, while involving all learners.
