Overtime – Nonexempt Employees ► You may request overtime pay or comp time earned if: You are a nonexempt employee. You have more than 40 hours worked in one week. Note: Hours worked can include paid holiday time, but not leave time. Note: Employees must have supervisory approval before working overtime.

Requesting Pay for OT Worked ► The week of 1/31-2/06 42 hours were worked. This qualifies for Overtime. ► On 2/9 10 hours were worked, but the total hours worked for the week was only 40. This does not qualify for Overtime. Note: Kronos computed only 2.0 Comp Time Overtime for this two week period.

Requesting Pay for OT Worked – Another Example ► The week of 2/7 – 2/13, 34 hours were worked. Eight hours were listed as SICK time. This brings the total hours in the week to 42. ► Sick leave will need to be adjusted to 6 hours to equal 40 hours in the week.
