2 Overview Mission The Center for Leadership and Service educates students through meaningful experiences designed to prepare socially responsible individuals to create positive sustainable change. Programming The (CLS) also provides educational programs, workshops and conferences; coordinates community service, leadership, and service learning opportunities for students; develops reciprocal relationships with the community in order to best serve all parties; and will serve as a resource for faculty and staff on these topics. 21 be successful: a leadership skills and applications series The ATLAS be successful leadership skills and applications series is designed to give participants an opportunity to learn practical leadership skills to apply in their everyday lives. Listed after each workshop description are the primary Student Leadership Competencies developed. In order to complete the certificate, participants must complete 6 of the 7 workshops, the Hands On activity and a reflective meeting with an ATLAS mentor. The workshops in the series are: Managing Your Time Effectively Classes, work, involvement, leadership, and some fun on the side--how do you fit it all in? Come learn how to effectively strategize your schedule and find ways to work smarter, not harder.
