Common problems – TB Absence of appropriate TB care Lack of resources 25% of world’s MDR-TB burden in the region 15 out of 27 high burden countries are located in Europe and Central Asia Improving health and protecting human rights Improving health and protecting human rights for individuals, communities, and society

People who use drugs and TB Over 3.7 million people who inject drugs People who use drugs (PWUD) particularly vulnerable to contracting TB ( imprisonment, lack of access to opiate substitution treatment, inadequate healthcare services ) Restricted access to TB services Improving health and protecting human rights Improving health and protecting human rights for individuals, communities, and society
