Of Mice and Men has many lens one of the main ones is the matrix lens
3
The matrixes lens is lens in which who has the power in the story.
4
We see George has more power over Lennie as Lennie follows George “The first man stopped short in the clearing and the follower nearly ran over him” (Steinbeck 2).
5
George has mental power over Lennie. But Lennie is bigger then a lot of people “ he walked heavily, dragging his feet a little, the way a bear drags his paws.”(Steinbeck 2).
6
Lennie loves rabbits and any furry animal and has power over them, but he some how kills them every time he touches them. “Lennie sat in hay and looked at a little dead puppy” (Steinbeck 85).
7
Curley has power over the workers in the farmer as the bosses sun. He isn’t smart as he thinks he can fight anyone “You keep outta this les’ you wanta go outside” ( Steinbeck 62). This meaning Curley has power in doing what he wants, but isn't smart by fighting all the time.
8
Even though Curley’s Wife is a girl and has no name she has power. Her power is that she can tell Curley one thing and get someone fired “ She said. “You know what I can do to you if you open your trap?” ( Steinbeck 80). This quote telling us that you do something Curley’s wife doesn’t like she can fire you. On the Outside: On the inside:

Everyone has power over Crooks Crooks is the hardest worker, but he is black He doesn’t even sleep with the others “They play cards in there, but I can’t play because I’m black. They say I stink.” (Steinbeck 68) Not only does this quote show matrix lens, but historical as people still haven’t broke the color barrier.
