2. System Training It is essential that you arrange for training on any campus multimedia podium system before you use it ! TO ARRANGE FOR TRAINING PLEASE CALL THE CTL AT X5347 Know WHAT you are using and HOW to use it !

3. System Overview Juice Goose Surge Protector VCR / DVD Player Combo Unit

4. Make sure the Document Camera is set to “ON” Document Camera Switch for the Document Camera Note: Power switch might be located elsewhere on different models. Some devices are routed through this Document Camera. If the Document Camera is off, the projector may not detect the those devices.

5. System Power Up Step 1. Use the Juice Goose to power up the LCD monitor. Step 2. Power up Extron MLC 226IP Controller. This will also power on the projector.

6. TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES STEP 1. Insert video tape into VCR / DVD Combo Unit VCR / DVD

7. TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES STEP 2. Press the VCR button on the Extron MLC Controller

8. STEP 3. Make sure VCR/DVD player light on the DVD/VCR unit matches the source you want to play ~ (DVD for DVD discs or VCR for VCR tapes). TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES If the indicator light on the VCD / DVD unit does not have the correct source light lit up: (DVD for DVD discs or VCR for VCR tapes) press the VCR/DVD button on the remote or the unit to switch between the two.

9. STEP 4. Cue up tape to starting point by using remote & pressing “play” button. (Must be behind podium pointing remote at VCR). TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES

10. STEP 5: Adjust Volume as needed using the Volume knob

11. TO PLAY DVD STEP 1. Press the DVD button on the Extron MLC Controller

12. STEP 2. Open DVD Player and insert DVD TO PLAY DVD VCR / DVD

14. TO PLAY DVD STEP 4. Use the DVD Remote to navigate around the DVD Menu and play the DVD. (Must be behind podium pointing remote at VCR). NOTE: Must be in “TV” mode to see DVD movie in WIN TV window & send video to projector DVD

15. TO PLAY DVD STEP 5: Adjust Volume as needed using the Volume knob

16. TO USE ELMO DOCUMENT CAMERA STEP 1. Press the “Doc Cam” button on the Extron controller

17. TO USE ELMO DOCUMENT CAMERA STEP 2. Unlock Document camera drawer. A Document camera is permanently installed in the side drawer of the podium. Set up lamps and use the camera per system training.

18. STEP 3. Switch the monitor to “Analog Input” To Display the Document Camera on the Monitor Press the Input button until the words “Analog” appear on the monitor

19. TO USE PC STEP 1. Press the PC button on Extron MLC controller

20. TO USE PC STEP 2. Power on the PC and use as usual PC

21. STEP 3. Switch the monitor to “Digital Input” To Display the PC on the Monitor Press the Input button until the words “Digital” appear on the monitor

22. TO USE MONITOR USB PORTS NOTE: The Podium PC’s are equipped with 2 USB 2.0 ports on left side of podium monitor. These ports may be used to connect peripherals such as Flash monitor. 23. TO USE Optional Laptop Hookup STEP 1. Press the laptop button on Extron MLC controller

25. TO USE Optional Laptop Hookup STEP 3. Use function keys (specific to your laptop) to activate laptop display

26. OPTIONAL: To Black Out The Projection Screen Image Press the “PIC MUTE” button on Extron MLC controller once to black out the projection screen. Press the button a second time to return the screen to normal.

27. TROUBLESHOOTING: If the Projected Image is the Incorrect Size Press the “Auto Image” button on Extron MLC controller once to correct any resolution issues with the projector. It should readjust the projected image until the resolution returns to its proper size.

28. SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE CHECKLIST  Remove All Tapes, DVD, Diskettes  Shutdown PC Correctly  Power off Power Switch  Press the “OFF” button to power off the Extron Controller and LCD Projector  Lock Up Podium
