2 End the Dread & Stop the Spread
Purpose End the Dread & Stop the Spread The purpose of this campaign is to inform people about how harmful Aids was. While we also teaching the important of Aids. Slogan Explanation Stop the spread of diseases is a positive way to maintain a health body. Stop the sadness of people having to find out they have aids by helping us stop spreading it to our loved ones. It will protect & prevent you from illness.

3 Target Audience We want to target any and everyone who is sexually active. AIDS doesn't discriminate and can affect anyone from a new born to a young adult. We chose this audience to inform them on the risk factors of AIDS, how badly it can affect you and the people you interact with and how to prevent it before it happens.

4 Goal of Campaign Our goal for this campaign is to prevent AIDS from spreading and provide a variety of ways that people can protect themselves and others from this disease. We also want to let the people with this disease know that there are still things that they can do to maintain their health. As a group we would like to hold an array of free events and fairs informing society on the AIDS disease while raising money at the same time for others already affected. Expected Results: Our campaign will not only prevent this disease from spreading but save millions of lives and help society take their health more serious.

6 Description of Existing Situation
AIDS is a disease caused by a virus called HIV. AIDS = Acquired immune deficiency syndrome HIV = Human Immunodeficiency Virus AIDS may infect the brain and nervous system AIDS is transmitted mainly through sexual activity. If one person is infected with AIDS, there is a good chance that during sex the other person will acquire the AIDS. More than 2 million people have died of AIDS every year around the world.

7 HIV is found in the body of an infected person.
The virus is passed from one person to another through blood-to-blood and sexual contact. Infected pregnant women can pass HIV to their babies during pregnancy, delivering the baby during childbirth, and through breast feeding. It can occur if you have unprotected sex share needles with an infected person. More than 1.1 million people in the United States are living with HIV infection. Through out our campaign we want people to get tested before have unsafe sex so that the virus don’t spread and putting other people life at risk.

10 How to prevent it? Use safe sex materials such as male and female condoms when engaging in sexual activity. The fewer sex partners you have, the more you reduce your risk of HIV infection. Simply choose not to have sex if you have not marry. The only way to be sure of your HIV status is to get tested. Do not use male and female condoms at the same time. If you have sex when you’re sober, you’re more likely to be safe. We can educate student at school more like in health class, we can teach students and other people how to use contraception the correct way, and by having people get tested every 3-6 months.

11 Campaign Method We plan to use social media sites to send our message about AIDS to the public. We will be using websites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We chose these because everybody has either one or all of these sites and many people can help us spread the word about this disease. We also plan on making shirts that people can purchase to also spread the word and to also start taking the next step in protecting not just oneself but our partner. This campaign will last for 2 months.

12 Budgeting Shirts: $20.00 each x 500 = $10,000 Ribbon: $1.00
Advertising (Ads on Facebook and other websites, news, YouTube, etc.) : $115,000 Assemblies about Aids (location and guest speakers): Approximately $30,000

13 Difficult part of the Project
Lesson you learn Try not to have sex if you have not marry. If you decide to have sex, please use a condom. Be careful of any sexual activities you are doing. Make sure it is fully safe. The most difficult part of this project was trying to use the budget wisely. Making sure we are not use it for any unnecessary activities to go over the budget. Issues or Conflicts We had absolutely no issues or conflicts in our group. We divided the work and as a team help put it together.
