It is about a half an hour from UVA. The Richmond International Airport (RIC) in Richmond, VA has more flights. The drive to Charlottesville, VA from RIC is about one hour and 15 minutes. The Washington, DC Dulles Airport(IAD) or Ronald Reagan Airport (DCA) also has more flights.
