Universe All things that exist in space! Planets, stars, solar systems and galaxies!

Galaxy A VERY LARGE group of stars and planets We live in the Milky Way Galaxy!

Solar System The sun and the bodies that move in orbit around it

Star A ball of burning gas in space that gives off light

Sun Any star that is the CENTER of a system of planets OUR Sun is at the CENTER of our solar system

Planet A large body that does not give off light 3 things make a planet 1. A planet must orbit a sun 2. It must have enough MASS for it’s own gravity to shape it into a sphere 3. Must be massive enough to form it’s own orbit
