CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District School Registration Have a Key Club booth in exchange for providing service to the school Registration Have incentives to give to people if they sign-up as interested members, display spirit gear, club banner, club gavel/bell, tri-folds, etc. Freshmen Orientation Introduce freshmen to Key Club and the unlimited amounts of opportunity to become a leader and to serve their communities. New Opportunities

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District Back-to-School Night Similar to School Registration, except introduce Key Club to parents and students Getting involved with your PTSA Making good connections with your school’s PTSA for service events, scholarships for memberships dues for underprivileged members, helping with promoting Key Club to students, teachers, and parents.

Also, you could get your Kiwanians and Circle K involved and introduce the Kiwanis Family to the interested members Target new members, and get them to know about Key Club Club Rush Club Day

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District As the school year begins, you want your clubs to start off strong by having 1-2 services every weekend, which set a good impression for new members. Service Remember our District Goals for Service by having at least 5 service projects per month! Services

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District If you’re having trouble with finding services, there are many resources that your clubs or division could use to look for services. o Looking at newspapers for ads that need volunteers o Asking school or Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) o Asking your Kiwanis Family to collaborate on service projects! o Asking local organizations or non-profits o Looking back to calendars of what services your club or division did the previous year

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District Charity Walks/ Marathons/ 5K’s Light the Night, Aids Walk, Relay for Life Crab Feeds Park/Beach Clean-Ups School Registration Children Art Centers/Facilities Tutoring, Reading to Children, etc. Animal Shelters AND MANY MORE… START SEARCHING!

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District Since membership dues increased by $0.50 for next year, a possible way to avoid membership decrease could be asking your PTSA for funding! o Asking them to provide $0.50 for every member who wants to join so that it wouldn’t affect membership. Funds

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District o Asking them to have scholarships for underprivileged members, so no member is neglected from joining because of financial issues! o Having fundraisers for membership dues, so dues can be more affordable for interested members.

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District Fundraising is a really useful skill that members and officers could take away from Key Club. FUN draising can be FUN. Contacting your school’s Treasurer to have fundraisers at school o Food Sales during Spirit Weeks o Candy/Holiday Grams during the Holidays and Valentines Day’s Fundraising

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District Contacting local businesses to have a Division-Wide fundraisers o Bubble Tea Shops o Ice Cream Sandwiches o Car Washes

CNH | Training Topic: Back to School Opportunities CNH Key Club District While brainstorming about fundraising ideas, please remember to create fundraisers for the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) and the EliMiNaTe Project. o Please remember about the CNH Commitment of $500,000 by the end of 2015 and our district goal of FAMILY, having every member saving 5 families (exactly $9) from MNT. o The Eliminate Campaign is our main focus since we are entering the final phase. o Support for PTP is ongoing. MNT is short term
