1 Color Wheel Notes Please fill out your Agenda ! Then please take a Socrative quiz Classroom: SchafrothArt Then grab a piece of blank paper from the center of your table. Hold your paper landscape, and put your name and period on the back.

2 Color Theory Notes What is color: Color is made up of light. There must be light for us to see color.

Tertiary YO, RO, RV, BV, BG, YG Value Scale: the colors go from light to dark as you go from top to bottom Warm Colors: Cool Colors: Yellow, Red, Orange Blue, Green, Purple (Violet) Creates space or the illusion of space Come towards you Go away from you

5 Warm and Cool Colors: How do they work? Look at the artist Paul Cezanne – He uses warm and cool colors to create the illusion of space within his landscapes by applying color straight on to the canvas in large strokes
