Prepared by DI Product Marketing Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur Requirements and Challenges Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur Requirements Setup a secure, high speed wireless network within the hotel with minimum disruption to the environment and guests. Wireless network must integrate into existing legacy network with minor customizations and be easy to setup to fit hotel requirement Wireless AP distributed throughout the hotel must be easily managed from a single console or device Challenges D-Link Face Rollout of a large number of APs in the 19 storey hotel premise with minimum disruption and noise to hotel guests and downtime. To reduce disruption of hotel service and ensure the service is available, the speed of deployment was critical Advance planning is needed to determine the placement of the APs to ensure coverage and signal strength is sufficient to penetrate walls into the each of the 500 guest rooms Hotel needed support as staff has no previous exposure to wireless technology. Hotel staff needed to be trained to support the solution. New solution should have minimum downtime and disruption for the hotel guests when the guest uses the service
