Eve was tempted by a snake to eat fruit from the tree, and then told Adam to do the same. This first disobedience of God separated humans from God and introduced sin into the world. Weaknesses: Baptism, Jesus ENEMY NUMBER ONE: ORIGINAL SIN

4. Powers: evil, separation from God, Location: Hell Bio: in order to be considered a mortal sin, a sin needs to have three things: 1.Be a grave matter 2.Knowledge of being a sin 3.Willful intent to sin Weaknesses: the Ten Commandments, Sacrament of Reconciliation ENEMY NUMBER TWO: MORTAL SIN

5. Powers: partial loss of grace, damages your friendship with God Location: Purgatory Bio: a venial sin does not cause complete separation from God and lacks one of the three components of mortal sin Weaknesses: admittance, penance ENEMY NUMBER THREE: VENIAL SIN

7. WEAPON ONE: CONSCIENCE What is a conscience?  your inner sense of what is right and what is wrong. It lets us take RESPONSIBILITY for our actions. What helps us form our conscience?  the Holy Spirit and the Church What form does our conscience take?  our SIDEKICK. A sidekick helps us figure out what to do and how to do it. Draw a sidekick in your picture with you.

WEAPON TWO: BAPTISM How does Baptism help us?  we are cleansed of Original Sin and all other sins  we are marked with the Seal of God  we are given grace and supernatural gifts: to be called the sons and daughters of God  marks us as Christians What form does Baptism take?  Baptism is like a superhero SYMBOL that we wear on our outfit. Draw your own superhero symbol on your outfit.

WEAPON THREE: HOLY SPIRIT What does the Holy Spirit do to help us?  Sanctifies us  Helps form our conscience  Leads us down the right path What form does the Holy Spirit take?  many possibilities: -- FLAME -- FLIGHT Draw one way to represent the Holy Spirit in your picture or write it under “Powers”

10. WEAPON FOUR: THE CHURCH How does the Church help us?  it helps form our conscience  it gives us a safe place to recover and strengthen ourselves What form does the Church take?  our HEADQUARTERS Where do you encounter Jesus? Write that place as your headquarters on your worksheet.

11. WEAPON FIVE: 10 COMMANDMENTS How do the Ten Commandments help us?  they help form our conscience  they let us know what the mortal sins are What form do the Ten Commandments take?  our SWORD/HAMMER because it helps us fight off sin Draw yourself with a sword or hammer in your picture.

12. WEAPON SIX: THE BEATITUDES What are the Beatitudes?  Blessed are the poor in spirit…Blessed are the meek… How do the Beatitudes help us?  They teach us how to act…humbly and justly! WEAPON SEVEN: THE WORKS OF MERCY What are the Works of Mercy?  To feed the hungry; to give drink to the thirsty; to clothe the naked; home the homeless… How do the Works of Mercy help us?  They tell us how to act toward our brothers and sisters in Christ What form do the Works of Mercy take?  INVISIBILITY, as they tell us to interact with the ‘invisible’ or outcasts of society Write invisibility under “Powers”

WEAPON EIGHT: SAINTS How do the saints help us?  The saints can help us if we ask them to pray for us  The saints “intercede” for us What form do the saints take?  They are our FANS/SUPPORTERS because they are rooting for us and helping us from Heaven.
