IB PSYCHOLOGY UNITS OF STUDY The Biological Perspective – Year 1, semester 1 The Cognitive Perspective- Year 1, semester 2 Abnormal Psychology- Year 1, semester 2 The Internal Assessment: replicate a simple psychological experiment- Year 2, quarter 1 The Sociocultural Perspective- Year 2, quarter 2 and 3 External Assessment- International, Standardized, culminating assessment of the two year course- Year 2, quarter 4

Students will conduct their INTERNAL ASSESSMENT Internal assessment for IB Psychology is a replication of a simple psychological experiment Experiment report is written following strict ethical and procedural guidelines set forth by the American Psychological Association and the IB IB Psychology score: 75% based upon “External Assessment”, which is composed of timed tests, all essay 25% based upon “Internal Assessment”
