Present Stem 2 nd Part (infinitive) minus -re portare porta- The present stem is a hard worker! It creates all the following forms: Present active Present passive Imperfect active Imperfect passive Future active Future passive Imperative (singular/plural)

Perfect Stem 3 rd Part minus -i portavi portav- The perfect stem creates these 3 forms: Perfect active Pluperfect active Future perfect active

Perfect Passive Participle The 4 th principal part. portatus (-a, -um) The participle takes care of the last 3 tense charts. Remember that it will be used in tandem with a form of “sum” as a helping verb: Perfect Passive Pluperfect Passive Future Perfect Passive
