The greatest commandment Matthew 22:34-40

I. A captivating question. What is the greatest commandment? Vs 34-39 Ultimate love for God and others. Deut 6:4,5: Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

II. The most crucial and critical of all which poses the greatest challenge to us. Vs 40 John 13:34,35: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Joh 13:35: By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Lets read Romans 13:8-14 together.

I Cor 13:1: Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

III. It’s a command that we are capable of achieving if we have great communication with God and others

Romans 12:9,10: Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
