So they are not a so much “rules” as attitude- changers They are specific about what to do – but they can be applied/ understood in different ways. Eg… YES – they are only rules They don’t mention attitudes like forgiveness or honesty. They are things God orders us to do/ not do. “You shall not…” So they are rules.
