What is listening Listening: s receiving language through the ears. Listening involves identifying the sounds of speech and processing them into words and sentences. Pre- listening: In this stage there is no pre_ listening question the picture play this role but to put pre-listening question is good. For example : 1- Grade 4 Unite 2, Period 1, Page10. 2-grade 3,unite 14,period 3,page32.

Why is listening a challenging task for ESL teachers and learners? Solutionproblem Put pre-listening question to make the lesson more simple & clear. The lack of pre listening questions in the lower stage. The teacher should try to give them key words and guidelines to clarify the task. Some exercises are complex and higher than Ss level. The teacher should be selective and tries to teach some of them briefly without a lot of detalis”general idea also to divide the taske & if the question not good the teacher can omitted it.” Long tasks which confuse learners sometimes as they contain many skills. the teacher can replace it or talk to the Curriculum centre to replace it by giving sth related to our culture & the topic. Irrelevant exercise. :. Some problem in introducing listening exercises:
