Silicon What is Silicon? What is its melting and boiling points?
What is it classified as? What is Silicon? How many protons, neutrons, and electrons are in this atom? What is its density? Is there different names for its different stages in matter? Who and when was it discovered? What is its color? What is its atomic number and mass? What is its atomic structure? Which group is it in?
2
What is Silicon ? Silicon is known to be the second most common element found on earth compared to oxygen. It is a nonmetallic element not only found on earth but the entire universe. Silicon can be used for various things , especially in the industry world .
3
What is silicon used for?
Silicon is used in the industrial world , for different things such as glass, metal alloys, soaps, (and very common) circuits. Its used in ALOT of computers. The silicon chip helps copy and relay information within the computer. The structures of silicon vary, especially when mixed with other elements.
4
What are the different stages of Silicon?
Silicon varies in its different stages. When mixed with other elements, its compound is usually classified as a silicate. Silicates when heated lets out its silicon materials which helps the alloyed metals that were compounded with it even more stronger and durable. The heated silicate method is usually used in sealers, caulks, and synthetic oils.

Basic Information What is the atomic number? Atomic # => 14
The name of this element is Silicon , its symbol is Si. It is an IVA element , a metalloid. Pure silicon is a dark gray solid. What is the atomic number? Atomic # => 14 What is the atomic mass? Atomic mass => amu What is the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons? Protons are 14 Neutrons are 14 Electrons are 14

Properties What is its boiling point?
Silicon’s boiling point is 4271 degrees Fahrenheit, 2355 degrees Celsius. What is its melting point ? Silicon's melting point is 2570 degrees Fahrenheit, 1410 degrees Celsius. What is its liquid, gas, and solid phases called? Its liquid density is 2.57grams per cm^-3 . In its solid phase its density is near the ratings of grams per cm^-3 .On earth it is found in its solid form .
8
Who and When? Silicon was first discovered as an element in the year of 1824 by Jons Jacob Berzelius, he was a Swedish chemist.
