Aim: Develop special effects skills by creating fairies or elves Unit 95 special effects make-up – Fairies, elves Objectives: Students will be able to: Devise a make-up plan for character make-up, carry out a full consultation and identify the special effects requirements. (Proof reading). Identify and apply one new material or skills within your fairy/ elf make-up look. Demonstrate character make-up application of your choice – Fairies or elves. (Calculating time). Evaluate the overall outcome of your application. Extended objectives: Appraise one peer’s applications and set 2 targets of improvement for their treatment. EQ Objectives: Identify your strengths and what you are good at. Identify the areas you need to improve

Practical Activity In pairs you have 20 minutes to create your own fairy. You must: Create a name for your fairy. Create a colour theme /background for your fairy Identify the special effects requirements for your fairy. You must include either a new material, product or technique. Devise a make-up plan for your fairy. Assignment Task 1 and 2 – P1, M1, D1, P2, M2, D2.

Create your fairies You have 45 minutes to transform your partner into the fairy to have designed. Assignment Task 1 and 2 – P1, M1, D1, P2, M2, D2.
