22 Make an Emergency Plan  Write down contact numbers and include an out-of-state contact if possible  Be familiar with Hawaii’s warning system and the terms used (i.e., advisory, watch, warning)  Designate family assembly areas

23 Make an Emergency Kit  RADIO, flashlight and extra batteries  1 gallon of water per person per day (this accounts for 2 liters for drinking and 2 liters for hygiene)  5-7 days of non-perishable food, manual can opener and utensils/plates  Important papers (identification, insurance policies, bank records)  A copy of your emergency plan
