4 Calculation of estimate for MDG by country Calculation of estimate for MDG by international 1) The number of women aged 15-49 with a live birth in a given time period that received antenatal care provided by skilled health personnel at least once (four times) during pregnancy, is expressed as a percentage of women aged 15-49 with a live birth in the same period. 2) Number of pregnant women that received antenatal care provided by trained health personnel from any public health facility (health centers, referral hospitals, o r national hospitals) during pregnancy (at least one visit) divided by total expected pregnancy women, and multiply the result by 100. To estimate the total expected pregnant women, a crude birth rate based on the 2008 population census and a mid-year population projection has been used.
