1 Book Spine Poetry

2 Can you make a poem out of the spines of books? YES!

3 They don’t need to rhyme….

4 They can have a theme or titles that flow together.

5 Or: the spines could form a sentence.

6 What to decide: Work either with your partner OR by yourself to create a poem. Then… Walk around the library looking for inspiration. 1.Write ideas on your scratch paper. 2.Include the whole title and the call number. DO NOT TAKE BOOKS OFF SHELF YET!!!! Once you have your titles, rearrange them on paper until you have them in an order you like. Then check in with Ms. Arika for a photo of your poem!

7 Day 2 Find your books, stack them up, and have their picture taken!
