2
MULTIPLYING Multiply two positive numbers equals positive Multiplying a positive and negative equals a negative Two negatives multiplied together equals a positive Ex. 2 * 2 = 4 Ex. 5 * -2 = -10 Ex. -4 * -3 = 12
3
DIVIDING Dividing two positives integers equals a positive Dividing a negative and positive integers equals a negative Dividing two negatives integers equals a positive Ex. 4 / 2 = 2 Ex. -8 / 4 = -2 Ex. -16 / -2 = 8
4
ADDITION Adding two positives equals a positive Adding a negative and positive together equals negative or positive( need to subtract the integers) Adding two negatives together equals a negative EX. 9 + 9 = 18 Ex. -16 + 8 = -8 or 16 + -8 = 8 Ex. -9 + -9 = -18
5
SUBTRACTION Subtracting two positives together equals a negative or positive. Subtracting a positive and negative together equals a positive or negative Subtraction two negatives together equals to positive or negative Ex. 8 – 4 =4 8 + -4=4
