2. John F. Kennedy is an Hero in many people’s eye’s in more than one reason. He wasn’t just an American President, he was a father, a husband, and a war hero.

3.  JFK (John Fitzgerald Kennedy) was the 35 th President of the United States.  He served from 1961 until his untimely assassination in 1963.

4.  He was an Commander of the Motor Torpedo Boats during World War II.  He served his country from 1941 to 1945.  Some of the metals he was awarded during his service are: Purple Heart, World War II Victory Medal, and the American Defense Service Medal

5.  In 1952, he defeated Republican Henry C. Lodge, Jr. for the U.S. Senate.  In 1956 at the Democratic National Convention Kennedy was nominated for the role as Vice President.

6.  In 1960 JFK ran against Hubert Humphrey of Minnesota and Senator Wayne Morse Champion Who will win?

7.  Kennedy married Jacqueline Bouvier on September 12, 1953 at St. Mary's Church, Newport, Rhode Island.

8.  John and Jacqueline had four kids together. Arabella K Caroline B John F., Jr Patrick B

9.  The Bay of Pigs Invasion,  The Cuban Missile Crisis,  The building of the Berlin Wall,  The Space Race  The African American Civil Rights Movement  And the early stages of the Vietnam War.

10.  John was the second youngest president  The first president born in the 20 th century  Was the only catholic president  Won the Pulitzer prize  His famous quote is ‘Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country',

11.  John was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas.. Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with the assassination but never made it to his trial, he was shot down two days later by Jack Ruby.
