1. Blackboard: Logging in and Locating Courses

2. Logging In Your Blackboard login is your first name and last name, without spaces. –Ex: tammyteacher Your initial password is 12345 if you were in the system last year. It is your employee ID number if you are new to the system this year.

3. If you are unable to login… Contact Wendy Grey or Erin Wynn via email to have your password reset or to create an account for new employees.

4. Courses Currently, we offer courses in GPS, Microsoft Office and Technology Essentials through Blackboard. We are developing additional courses for Blackboard. Courses are offered for PLU credit and/or for professional growth.

5. Courses GPS Courses are located in the course catalog and are divided by level and school. Microsoft Office courses are also available. Browse the course catalog to locate and enroll in these courses. Register in MyPDC for Microsoft Office courses to earn PLU credit online! (2 courses=1 PLU) Technology Essentials Online is offered 3 times a year for PLU credit. Look for it in the course catalog under Technology. (3 PLUs)

6. Search for a Course Login to Blackboard. Click on the Courses tab. Type in a search term. (Example: Blackboard Basics.) Click Go. Or, browse the course catalog as shown on the next 2 slides.

9. Once you have located your course.. Click Enroll, then OK. ** Be sure to scroll to the far right side of the screen and click “Enroll.” You will get an “Access Denied” message if you click on the title of the course.**

10. Submit Click Submit.

11. Finalize Click OK.

12. Enrollment Complete You are now enrolled and ready to begin your course! If you plan to earn PLU credit for your courses, be sure to login to MyPDC and register for corresponding courses.
