Contrasting views of knowing truth:
John 17:17: Can know truth with certainty because God’s word is truth
John 18:38: Cannot know truth with certainty

3. We know… Faithful Christians do not practice sin, 1 John 5:18

Sinners walk in sin, Ephesians 2:1-3
