7  It is the capital of Scotland.  The population is 1,400,000.  It is the most beautiful city in the UK.

8 Edinburgh castle

9  Edinburgh Castle has fascinating history spanning 3000 years and was the residence of many Scottish Kings and Queens.  The ancient Honours of Scotland - the Crown, the Sceptre and the Sword of State – are on view in the Crown Room in Edinburgh Castle.  Edinburgh Castle is also the home of the One O'Clock Gun.

14  Glencoe is one of Scotland's most historic and scenic glens.  The ruggedness of the mountains, with spectacular spires, cliffs and gullies is inspiring.

17  Loch Ness is located in the North of Scotland.  The lake is over 750 feet deep and 23 miles long.  Many years it has been supposed that there is a large dinosaur-like "monster" resident in Loch Ness.

21  Stirling is one of Scotland's oldest towns.  The town was granted a Royal Charter in the 12th century and became one of the most important towns of medieval Scotland.

23  Culzean is a romantic 18th century castle and one of the most impressive stately homes in Scotland.  One bedroom is said to be haunted by a lady in green.  There is a country park of over 500 acres with wooded walks, walled gardens and a swan pond.
