UK sees shortage of engineering graduates The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has said that within the next four years there will be a significant number of new jobs created to keep up with technological advances. In order to fill these vacancies, candidates will require candidates to be skilled in science, maths, engineering and technology subjects, said Sarah Morris, spokesperson for the CBI.

London Met graduate Sells TweetPhoto Business for an estimated US$10-15 million In 2010, London Met graduate Sean Callahan used revolutionary social-networking tool Twitter to successfully launch his new business Plixi. He developed a photo sharing technology which allowed images to be shared between Twitter, Facebook and other social media from their mobile devices. He turned his original concept into a successful business. In 2011 he sold his business for an estimated US$10-15 million to social commerce network Lockerz. Plixi, originally called TweetPhoto, is one of the top 250 websites in the world, attracting 27.5 million users a month, including a host of celebrities.
