SLICED CHEESE o We will be purchasing sliced cheese again this year Why? – The relatively small amount of entitlement is not near enough to cover all the food you use during summer feeding. – Is universally accepted and easy to use within the program – At the time we ordered the cheese, it cost $1.88/lb, which meant we could get 298 cases of cheese.
9
HOW TO GET YOUR CHEESE o Send in your Request Forms Located in your packet you receive Tell us how many cases you would like to receive Don’t know??? – As your vendor for assistance If we do not receive a request form from you, you will not receive any cheese Most of your vendors know the cheese is available YOU MUST CHECK WITH YOUR VENDOR TO DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF CHEESE NEEDED AND DETERMINE WHICH OF YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THE CHEESE Once we determine the # of cases requested and the # of cases available, we will determine how many cases you can have
10
HOW TO GET YOUR CHEESE o Cheese will be shipped to Wood Fruitticher Grocery Co in Birmingham During the month of May Available for pickup after you receive notice from us of how many cases you are to receive. Please be sure to get your cheese by June 30. o Storage and Handling Fee of $1.05 for each case that you pick-up You will pay that to Wood Fruitticher If you wish to have it delivered to you, you will have to make arrangements with Wood Fruitticher and negotiate a delivery price with them. Please Note: This will be considerably more than $1.05
