2
Conference Registration from September 2011 Registrations will soon be rolling in for the Annual Australian Environmental Law Conference to be held in the magical ancient walled city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Join the conference conveners Ralph Devlin SC and Peter Kelly together with special guest speakers. In keeping with the theme ‘Guarding our Heritage’ the scope of this conference will be to discuss, from a prosecution perspective, the synergy of environmental prosecution law issues and sustainable development. We will be welcoming delegates of the 2nd Environmental Law Enforcement Conference being held at the Old Palace which today is the Hilton Hotel right next to the ancient walled city of Dubrovnik. This charming walled city, known as the "Jewel of the Adriatic", was built in the 7th century as a fortress town. The southern-most city in Croatia, Dubrovnik was one of the centres of the development of language and literature and was home to many famous poets, playwrights, painters, mathematicians and other scholars. Its gorgeous old town became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979.
