3. Walk with me, oh my Lord Through the darkest night And brightest day. Be at my side, oh Lord, Hold my hand and guide me On my way. 1. Sometimes the road seems long, My energy is spent. Then, Lord, I think of you And I am given strength 2. Stones often bar my path, And there are times I fall, But you are always there To help me when I call. 3. 4. God of mercy, you ask us to listen to your Son, Jesus. Open our ears to hear your Word and fill our hearts with your love so that we may change our lives and the lives of others.

9. I wonder what you heard in the Gospel today? Why do you think Jesus led his disciples to a mountain top? How do you think the disciples felt when they saw the changes that had happened to Jesus? Why did Jesus want them to share this special moment with him? Mr. Wood

10. After Jesus’ transfiguration, he told Peter, James and John to listen to his instructions very carefully. He told them not to tell anyone what they had seen on the mountain that day. He knew they would only understand what this had meant after He had died on the cross and been resurrected. The letters in the word LISTEN can be made into the word SILENT and when we are silent we can listen to God So for a few moments we are going to be silent and in our hearts pray and talk to God. He will listen to us and we must try and listen to Him Mr. Wood

12. As brothers and sisters in one loving family, together let us pray to our Heavenly Father. Lord hear our prayer. The response is sung, Lord hear our prayer. We pray for the church throughout the world. Lord hear our prayer. Lord in your mercy, Lord hear our prayer. We pray for countries and people devastated by war or disaster., Lord hear our prayer. Lord in your mercy, Lord hear our prayer. We pray for forgiveness, reconciliation and friendship in our homes and families., Lord hear our prayer. Lord in your mercy, Lord hear our prayer. 13. Knowing that our Heavenly Father is listening, in the silence of our hearts, let us share our own unspoken prayers with Him.

14. Let us say this prayer together Loving Father, Jesus came to change our lives and transform them with his love. Help us to become more like him a we grow closer to you and one another. We make our prayers through Christ our Lord Amen Mrs Murray

15. 1.Longing for light, we wait in darkness. Longing for truth, we turn to you. Make us your own, your holy people, Light of the world to see. 2. Longing for peace, our world is troubled. Longing for hope, many despair. Your word alone has pow’r to save us. Make us your living voice. 3. Longing for food, many are hungry, Longing for water, many still thirst. Make us your bread, broken for others, shared until all are fed. 4. Longing for shelter, many are homeless, Longing for warmth, many are cold. Make us your building, sheltering others, walls made of living stones. 5. Many the gifts, many the people, many the hearts that yearn to belong. Let us be servants to one another, making your kingdom come. Christ, be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light! Shine in your Church gathered today.
